Preparation turns panic into purpose. We prepare before emergencies happen so we can respond with courage, wisdom, compassion, and faith while protecting the lives God has entrusted to us.

  • ☐ Stay calm and assess the situation before acting.

  • ☐ Protect yourself first so you can help others safely.

  • ☐ Call 911 immediately when emergency assistance is needed.

  • ☐ Follow the family's emergency response plan.

  • ☐ Account for every family member, guest, and pet.

  • ☐ Administer first aid if trained and safe to do so.

  • ☐ Evacuate immediately when instructed or when conditions become unsafe.

  • ☐ Go to the designated family meeting location if evacuation is required.

  • ☐ Bring the emergency kit if it is safe and practical.

  • ☐ Follow instructions from emergency responders and authorities.

  • ☐ Avoid unnecessary risks or re-entering dangerous areas.

  • ☐ Communicate clearly and keep family members informed.

  • ☐ Shut off utilities only if it is safe and you have been trained to do so.

  • ☐ Document important information, damage, or injuries when appropriate.

  • ☐ Contact emergency family members or designated contacts after everyone is safe.

  • ☐ Review what happened after the emergency and update the emergency plan with lessons learned.

  • ☐ Restock emergency supplies and repair damaged equipment as soon as possible.

  • ☐ Would the King be proud of how I responded under pressure?

  • ☐ Did I protect life before property?

  • ☐ Did I remain calm, courageous, and compassionate?

  • ☐ Am I better prepared for the next emergency because of what I learned today?

  • ☐ Did I leave the Kingdom better than I found it?
